Community guidelines.

Short, human rules — written to protect each other, not to lawyer at you.

  • Lead with kindness.

Communication looks different for everyone. Patience is part of the culture here.

  • Respect ASL and Deaf culture.

ASL is a language, not a workaround. Deaf identity is not a deficit.

  • No harassment or hate.

Discrimination, slurs, or targeting people for who they are isn't welcome.

  • No scams or fake opportunities.

Don't pay to apply. Don't share sensitive info publicly. Verify independently.

  • Support accessibility.

Caption your videos. Describe your images. Make space for different ways of communicating.

  • Help build opportunity.

Recommend businesses. Mentor newcomers. Share what you learned the hard way.

Meet safely.

  • Verify employers and clients independently before sharing personal information.
  • Avoid sharing your address, SSN, or banking info in public threads.
  • Meet first in public places. Bring a friend when possible.
  • Trust your gut. If something feels off, report it.
